I am happy to know that the 8th Convocation of Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to be held on 13 March 2019. On this auspicious occasion, I congratulate the graduating students, their parents, faculty members, and the university authorities for the journey they have taken together to bring this day to light.

Education is indispensable to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. Accordingly, the government has been working to bring a significant change in education through modern, scientific, and time-befitting policies for the last decade. In addition, Universities must ensure quality education that will cater to the new demands of the job market in the new millennium. I urge the DIU authority to incorporate our glorious history of the War of Liberation in the curricula so that students can be groomed with the noble spirit of patriotism.

The convocation is a precious moment for the graduates to celebrate the culmination of their strenuous pursuits of study with glory and greatness. Consequently, the graduates leaving behind their alma mater enter into a new world to confront challenges with honesty and patriotism. Besides, this occasion is also a proud milestone for Daffodil International University as it acknowledges the achievements of the graduates and helps the university to evaluate and overview its overall activities. I hope that the graduates will make the best use of their diligence, knowledge, and skills to achieve competence in their respective fields of study and contribute to building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh. I wish the graduating students a bright future.

I am happy to learn that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 8th convocation on 13th March 2019 in Dhaka. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the graduating students, their parents, faculty members, and the university authority.

The Awami League government has relentlessly been working to turn Bangladesh into a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed one by 2041. In this regard, we have attached top priority to the education sector. A time-befitting and scientific 'National Education Policy has been enacted to ensure quality education. We adopted the 'Private University Act 2010' to boost up higher education facilities. The government established new schools, colleges, and universities across the country during the last ten years. The opportunities for higher education and research have increased in the country. Bangabandhu Fellowship on Science and ICT Project is being implemented to conduct research activities and create scientists, technicians, and researchers.

I hope that the graduating students of Daffodil International University will play an important role in building a Sonar Bangladesh as dreamt by the greatest Bangalee of all times, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি ১৩ মার্চ ২০১৯ তারিখে ৮ম সমাবর্তন অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন করছে জেনে আমি আনন্দিত। এ উপলক্ষে আমি ডিগ্রি অর্জনকারী সকল শিক্ষার্থী, তাদের অভিভাবকবৃন্দ, শিক্ষকম-লী এবং বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা জানাই।

জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের সুযোগ্য কন্যা প্রধানমন্ত্রী জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দক্ষ ও গতিশীল নেতৃত্বে গত এক দশকে দেশের শিক্ষাব্যবস্থায় যুগান্তকারী পরিবর্তন সাধিত হয়েছে। সকলের জন্য শিক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে সকল উদ্যোগ নেয়া হয়েছে। উচ্চশিক্ষার চাহিদা পূরণের লক্ষ্যে সরকার অনেকগুলো বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপনের অনুমতি দিয়েছে। বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আইন-২০১০ উচ্চশিক্ষা ক্ষেত্রে নতুন সম্ভাবনার দ্বার খুলে দিয়েছে। দেশের শিল্প ও সেবা খাতের চাহিদা অনুযায়ী দক্ষ জনশক্তি গড়ে তোলা জরুরী। এক্ষেত্রে বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।

আমি আশা করি, উচ্চশিক্ষার প্রত্যাশিত মান নিশ্চিত করতে বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলো আইন অনুযায়ী তাদের কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করবে। বিষয় বাছাই, শিক্ষাক্রম প্রণয়ন, শিক্ষাদানের পদ্ধতি অব্যাহতভাবে উন্নত ও যুগোপযোগী করতে হবে। শুধুমাত্র ব্যবসায়িক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি পরিহার করে সেবার মানসিকতা নিয়ে দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোকে আন্তরিকতার সাথে শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করতে হবে। বর্তমান সরকার শিক্ষার গুণগত মান উন্নয়নে সর্বোচ্চ গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছে। উচ্চ শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে কাঙ্খিত মান অর্জনের পাশাপাশি তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ও কারিগরি শিক্ষা প্রদানের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলো দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ তৈরিতে ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে। উচ্চশিক্ষার উৎকর্ষ অর্জনে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভর্সিটি অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করবে-আমি এ প্রত্যাশা করি।

সমাবর্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের সমাপনী ডিগ্রি প্রাপ্তির একটি স্মরণীয় অনুষ্ঠান। শিক্ষার্থীদের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম এবং সাফল্যের পরিচায়ক এই সমাবর্তন। এই অনুষ্ঠান প্রতিটি শিক্ষার্থীকে জীবনের লক্ষ্য অর্জন ও আশা-আকাক্সক্ষা পূরণে আত্মবিশ্বাসী করে তুলতে সাহায্য করবে বলে আমি বিশ্বাস করি।

আমি ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির ৮ম সমাবর্তনের সর্বাঙ্গীন সাফল্য কামনা করছি।

ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির ৮ম সমাবর্তন ১৩ মার্চ ২০১৯ তারিখে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে জেনে আমি আনন্দিত। যে সকল কৃতি শিক্ষার্থী এই মহতি অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে সনদ লাভ করতে যাচ্ছেন আমি তাদের আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। তাদের অভিভাবক, নিবেদিতপ্রাণ শিক্ষক ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষকেও আমি ধন্যবাদ জানাই।

জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের সুযোগ্য কন্যা মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার গতিশীল নেতৃত্বে গত এক দশকে বাংলাদেশে শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে যুগান্তকারী উন্নয়ন সাধিত হয়েছে। এ ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে এবং শিক্ষার গুণগত মান উন্নয়নে সরকার কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। অনেকগুলো বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থাপনের অনুমতি দেয়া হয়েছে। এসব বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ তৈরি করতে হবে। উচ্চ শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে কাক্সিক্ষত মান অর্জনের পাশাপাশি তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি ও কারিগরি শিক্ষা প্রদানের মাধ্যমে বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলো দক্ষ মানবসম্পদ তৈরিতে ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।

বিশ্বায়নের পরিবর্তনের সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি উচ্চ শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে উৎকর্ষতা সাধনে কাজ করছে এবং শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীদের আধুনিক সুযোগ-সুবিধা প্রদানের মাধ্যমে ইতোমধ্যে সুনাম অর্জন করেছে। আমি আশা করি, এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে দক্ষ ও সুনাগরিক হিসেবে গড়ে তোলার ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে।

আমি এ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ৮ম সমাবর্তনের সাফল্য কামনা করি এবং নবীন গ্রাজুয়েটদের ভবিষ্যৎ ও পেশাগত জীবনের সর্বাঙ্গীন মঙ্গল কামনা করছি।

It is a matter of great pleasure for me to know that Daffodil International University (DIU) is going to hold its 8th Convocation on 13 March 2019. On this auspicious occasion, I would like to convey my heartiest congratulations and felicitations to the graduating students, their proud parents, the faculty members, and the management of the university.

Higher education is the driving force for growth, development, and positive change in a country. Daffodil International University has been providing quality education to produce skilled and accomplished manpower for the socio-economic development of the country since its inception. Besides, the university is striving to enhance research and innovation through exchanging knowledge with other universities both nationally and globally for building 'Digital Bangladesh'. I believe that the students graduating from this university will serve the nation and country with their talents, diligence, and dedication. I congratulate all the members of this university for elevating the status of tertiary level education in our country and spreading its reputation nationally and internationally.

I am utterly delighted to learn that Daffodil International University, a top-ranking tertiary level educational institution in Bangladesh, is going to confer degrees upon the graduates at its 8th Convocation on 13 March 2019. My joy knows no bounds as I think of attending the auspicious occasion as the Convocation Speaker at the venue of its permanent campus, Ashulia, Dhaka, beset with greenery and fresh air.

It is indeed a memorable day for the graduating students who will be awarded degrees on this occasion. Students always feel excited when they take part in a convocation wearing designated attires in a ceremonious manner. They look forward to a prosperous future, of being placed in prestigious positions, after a long run of diligent work. Their eyes are full of dreams and they take a solemn oath to fulfill their dreams when they hold their hard-earned certificates given by the institutional authority in the presence of the Chancellor or his representative. They show their readiness to enter professional life with a resolution to serve the nation and the world with the knowledge they have acquired in their university life.

I would love to congratulate the graduates, their parents and guardians, the teachers, and the management of the university.

Bangladesh has made significant progress in its economy and education in recent times, crossing the threshold of a middle-income country. I am confident that the country will move further in its development with the contribution of Daffodil International University.

I wish a great success to the graduates who would make their life beautiful and meaningful, with a dedication to society in a globalized world, cherishing a universal sense of well-being.

By the grace of Allah, the 8th Convocation of Daffodil International University is going to be held on 13 March 2019. It is indeed a day of glory and celebration for all graduates, their teachers, and the administrative personnel of DIU. We all have been working hard since the start of our journey in 2002 to deliver quality education to our graduates. We feel proud and honored that by dint of our combined effort DIU has achieved the 6th position among all Bangladeshi universities according to the recent QS ranking.

DIU is determined to create an educated, digitized and self-reliant generation who will be doers and changemakers with their entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial leadership skills. Besides, we have been striving to ensure employability skills, academic excellence, career enhancement, international collaboration, industrial linkage, and development of soft skills among students to make them fit for 21st Century globalized world.

I hope our graduates will make the best use of every single moment of their lives and establish themselves as successful leaders in whatever situation they may find themselves in business, undertaking responsible assignments, or delivering humanitarian assistance.

Today, at the Permanent Campus of Daffodil International University, we honor the graduating students of the 8th Convocation. It is a day of celebration that recognizes the efforts of those who have stayed the course to complete their degree, worked hard to learn, and earned the honor of becoming a graduate in the subject of their choice. We are proud to announce that 5626 graduates will be presented for a degree of which 4511 will be awarded a Bachelor’s degree and 1115 a Master’s degree.

I am happy to be part of the ceremony that recognizes the efforts of the students. While congratulating the graduates, I would also like to congratulate the teachers, administration and Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University for supporting each and every graduate on the way to achieving success. I would like to thank the Convener of the Convocation Ceremony and all those who have worked relentlessly day and night to organize the convocation ceremony that we are hosting today.

I would also like to thank our distinguished international and local guests for gracing the ceremony and encouraging our students. In particular, I would like to thank His Excellency Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, Honorable President, SIAM University, and the distinguished guests who have come all the way from Thailand. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, M.P for gracing the occasion as the Chairperson of the Convocation on behalf of the Chancellor.

I join the graduates in thanking the Almighty for the opportunities to complete a higher education degree and the successes that He has granted in the way that has made the celebrations today possible. Thanks are also due for the opportunity granted to celebrate this day with all the fanfare and pageantry.

I am very much delighted to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 8th convocation on 13 March 2019 at its permanent campus, Ashulia. On this special occasion my warm congratulations to the young graduates as well as their respected guardians and faculty members. It is needless to mention that the students have successfully completed the academic requirements for getting their degrees.

It is a well-known fact that Daffodil International University has a good reputation in the job market. This has only been possible due to the contribution of students’ strong guidance by teachers, the creation of a congenial academic atmosphere, and very efficient leadership provided by the management. Daffodil International University is very careful about its students. For technological development, the management distributes free laptops among students. Art of Living and Employability-360 courses have been introduced for students to attain the values of life and to enter the job market confidently.

I have no doubt in my mind that our graduates will definitely be able to become entrepreneurs or capable managers in different organizations and thus will be able to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

Again, I would like to extend my best wishes and heartiest congratulations to the graduates, their families, friends, and well-wishers, and the management of the university.

I am delighted to know that the Eighth convocation of Daffodil International University (DIU) will be held on 13 March 2019 at its wide-open and lush green campus at Ashulia in Dhaka. It is indeed a memorable day for the graduating students who will be awarded degrees on this occasion. I would like to extend my heartfelt felicitations to the graduates, their parents and teachers, and the university authority on this auspicious occasion.

DIU has achieved considerable achievements since its establishment in 2002 and it has emerged as a prominent ICT-oriented university with an excellent global focus. DIU organizes numerous national and international conferences, international exchange programs for students and teachers, and many other national and international events. DIU has memoranda of understanding with over 300 universities and international organizations and is a global leader in higher education.

The university strives for quality of education and research and regularly conducts training programs for newly recruited faculty members and officers. DIU emphasizes quality of life and moral values through a 3-credit compulsory course (called Art of Living) on lifestyle and human values.

I am confident that the hard-earned knowledge and lifestyle acquired by our graduates will enable them to enjoy a fruitful career with morality, professional ethics, and universal human values leading to happiness, peace, and prosperity in society.
