I am happy to know that the 9th Convocation of Daffodil International University is being held. On this joyousoccasion, I extend my heartiest greetings and the best wishes to all the graduating students, their parents,current and ex-students, faculty members, officials and staff of the university.

In the light of the philosophy of education of the Greatest Bangalee of all times, The Father of the NationBangabanhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Awami League Government has brought outstanding changes tothe education sector by attaching top priority to this sector in the last 13 years. Our government hasrelentlessly been working to produce knowledge and tech-savy human resources by ensuring quality andtime-worthy education in the country through nurturing the next generation in the spirit of our War ofliberation, moral values and national heritage.We have taken some significant steps towards expandingaccess to higher education and enhancing its quality alongside primary, higher secondary and tertiaryeducation in the country. The number of private universities has increased significantly in the country. Ourgovernment has tirelessly been working to ensure higher education facilities to the doorsteps of thepeople. The scope of education has expanded through the introduction of digital systems in education as apartofourimplementationof“DigitalBangladesh”programs,developmentofinfrastructureandestablishment of new educational institutions.

Ibelievethateconomicdevelopmentofthecountrydependsoneducationandhumanresourcedevelopment. To this end, the academic innovation fund has been allocated to encourage creativity andpromote research at the higher education institutions in the country. Bangladesh Research and EducationNetwork (BdREN) has been established to increase technical skills of the universities and connect foreignuniversities and research institutes with the local universities. As a result, many students and teachershave got the opportunity to get connected with the international academic communities and informationhubs. ‘Private University Act-2010’ has helped develop the quality of education of the private universities.‘Bangladesh Accreditation Council Act-2017’ has been passed to ensure standards of quality in highereducation both at the public and private universities in the country.

I hope that Daffodil International University will play an important role to help implement our vision to havequality education at higher institutions, to enhance quality in teaching, learning and research. I do believethat the students of the university from their respective positions will apply their acquired knowlwdge,talent and creativity with patriotism, integrity and dedication to build a hunger and poverty free GoldenBangladesh as dreamt by The Father of the Nation Bangabanhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

I wish the 9th Convocation of Daffodil International University a grand success and a bright future for all thegraduates.
