5th Convocation

I am glad to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 5th Convocation on 13 January 2016. On this happy occasion, I extend my heartfelt felicitation to all the graduating students, faculty members, guardians and university authority and appreciate their collective endeavour to materialize the hopes and aspirations of the students.

Education is not mere accumulation of facts; it is the foundation of life itself. Education is knowledge imbued with wisdom and ethics. It develops the personality of students, moulds their character and grows mental skills to help them in coping with problems and challenges of the modern world. The responsibility of universities, both public and private, is primarily characterized as teaching, research, and innovative thinking to develop students' capacity. Research and innovation, as we know, are the key elements in pursuing new knowledge which play a vital role in meeting the demand of the time. I, therefore, strongly believe that our universities will concentrate their efforts on research and innovative activities along with routine work.

The government of Bangladesh is committed to ensuring quality education and research as well as establishing knowledge based society. The function of education is to teach one to think thoroughly and act vigorously. Universities, both public and private, should put their outmost endeavour in turning out capable and competent graduates by providing state of the art education.

I hope that the graduates who are passing out today would be able to face the challenges confidently and contribute significantly to the development of the society.

I am happy to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 5th Convocation on 13 January  2016. On this occasion, I congratulate the graduating students and extend my heartiest felicitations to teachers, guardians, and authorities of the university.

The government is working relentlessly to improve the socio-economic condition of the country by putting emphasis on education and research. Private universities have become an integral part of the government's efforts to build a knowledge-based society and Digital Bangladesh.

I hope the outgoing graduates of this university, with their knowledge and patriotism, will play an important role in building a golden Bangladesh as envisioned by the Greatest Bangalee of all time, Father of the Nation,  Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur  Rahman.

The convocation of a university is a grand and memorable occasion for the graduating students who have achieved their degrees through their perseverance and dedication to studies. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the passing-out students, their parents, teachers, and the authorities of the university.

Education is the most powerful tool which can change the world. The present government stresses the highest priority on the world standard education that can help develop skilled human resources required for the rapid upliftment of the country. I hope Daffodil International University would continue its relentless efforts to shape the students to take on the challenges of the 21st Century.

It gives me immense pleasure to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 5th Convocation on 13 January 2016. On this auspicious occasion, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations and felicitations to all the graduating students, their proud parents, the faculty members, and the university administration.

Quality education at the tertiary level remains a question of big concern for decades. Quality education in higher educational institutions is the most effective way for the socio-economic development of a nation. Apart from some renowned public universities, the endeavors of some private universities in improving the quality of higher education and developing world-class human resources are appreciable. It is, indeed, encouraging that Daffodil International University has been trying to contribute positively to improving the quality of higher education in our country with special emphasis on ICT.
