I am happy to learn that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 3rd Convocation on 26 February 2012. On this occasion, I congratulate the graduating students, the teachers, guardians, and the authority of the University.

The government is working hard to improve the socio-economic condition of the country by putting emphasis on education. Private universities have become an integral part of a government's efforts to build a knowledge-based society.

I hope the outgoing graduates of this university, with their knowledge, enthusiasm, and patriotism, will contribute to the development of a golden Bangladesh as envisioned by the Greatest Bengali of all time, Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

I am delighted to know that the 3rd Convocation Ceremony of Daffodil International University will be held on 26 February 2012 in Dhaka.

Convocation of a university is a magnanimous and memorable occasion for the graduating students who have earned the degree by dint of their perseverance and devotion to studies. I would like to extend my heartfelt felicitation to the graduates, parents, teachers, and others concerned on this auspicious occasion.

In line with Vision 2021 and Digital Bangladesh, universities should employ new tools, technology, and techniques in delivering education in supportive infrastructure and facilities. I am pleased to see that Daffodil International University is devoted to digitizing all academic and administrative activities of the university and providing modern IT facilities to the students for making them adept for future working places.

I am happy to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 3rd Convocation on 26 February 2012. It is a memorable day, particularly for the graduates who will be awarded degrees on the occasion.

Alongside the public universities, the private universities in Bangladesh are significantly contributing to the higher education. I am aware of DIU's reputation as an IT-based private university in Bangladesh.

Quality education in higher educational institutional institutions is key to the socio-economic progress of a nation. Apart from some renowned public universities, the endeavors of some private universities to improve the quality of higher education and develop world-class human resources are appreciable. It is, needed, to encourage that Daffodil International University has been trying to contribute positively to improving the quality of higher education in our country with special emphasis on ICT.

I feel glad to learn that Daffodil International University is going to hold its third convocation on 26 February 2012.

Convocation is not only the achievement of graduates but also the achievement of the university on the way to ensuring quality higher education at the tertiary level. I am very happy to see that as a private university Daffodil International University is playing a very pioneering role in the advancement of ICT and Business by introducing industry oriented curriculum and providing quality higher education.

The graduates, being taught by quality teachers in a well-structured academic and administrative setup, by dint of their own endeavors and parental support, should be able to serve the needs of the country. The fruition of values, discipline, and social consciousness which I believe were taught throughout these years to the graduates is now to bloom and spread the fragrance within the country and beyond. They should keep their endeavors on to reach their aims and enhance the reputation of the university.

It gives me immense pleasure to congratulate the graduating students on their successful completion of degrees at this university.

It’s a matter of satisfaction for all of us that we have made continuous progress in our academic endeavors, intellectual climate, and physical environment during the last 10 years. This joyous Convocation is going to be another success story for the university.

However, we would like to see our students as leaders in quality and achievement. They are our proud ambassadors. During their time at DIU, they have been offered state-of-the-art facilities such as one student laptop, a learning feedback system, a forum, a blog, teaching evaluation, modern labs, campus radio, a wi-fi network, ISP, etc. Students are also happy now with our permanent campus situated at Ashulia on around 15 acres of land in the serene, green, and open atmosphere with all world-class modern facilities. It is envisaged that DIU graduates can stand out by competing with others both nationally and globally with the aptitude and skills they have acquired from this university.

Finally, I would like to extend my heartiest appreciation and felicitations to the DIU management, Vice Chancellor, Emeritus Professor, Deans, Heads of all departments, faculties, and employees for making what DIU is today. May Allah bless us all.

I am immensely pleased to see that Daffodil International University is holding its third convocation on 26 February 2012. On this auspicious occasion, I congratulate the students who will be awarded degrees for their glorious achievements. I feel proud that in this convocation more than three thousand students of the university will get recognition for their academic feats. I am confident that the hard-earned knowledge which is acquired by the graduates will enable them to lead their lives in the best possible way.

Starting in 2002 the university now conducts eighteen undergraduate and nine postgraduate programs under three faculties. The academic activities are conducted by about 250 full-time teachers for nearly 8,000 students who are assisted by a 250-member team of energetic management personnel. They are relentlessly striving for delivering quality education and conducting co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

In line with Vision 2021 and Digital Bangladesh, most of the academic and administrative activities of the university have been digitized and the university has emerged as a prominent ICT-based university of the country. Students are provided with broadband Internet and WiFi facilities, free laptops, and campus radio for making them well-equipped for challenging workplaces. A very rich website helps the university to earn excellent ranking by several organizations, including Webometrics.

I felicitate the graduates once again for their successful completion of the programs and their parents for the achievements of their wards. Further, I convey my deepest appreciation to the teachers and the management of the university for their sincere efforts in serving our students.

On this festive occasion, we gratefully acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Board of Trustees of the university, especially Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Board, for dynamic leadership and continuous support for delivering quality education in the university.

Convocation is a solemn and purposeful landmark event of life. One could be worthy for this event by investing much of talent, time, money, and most important of all hard work. And, for university it is very soul, without it university loses its moorings. Its tradition should, therefore, be held in high esteem in all quarters, high and low, and preserved with utmost care and concern.

On this special day, the graduates should remember that this graduation will enable them to shift their learning from the classroom to the continuous search for truth, knowledge, and values that will bring richness to their lives and careers. I believe that they are competent enough to serve the nation by upholding the prestige they received and with the knowledge and good sense which have been ingrained during their stay at this university.
