I am delighted to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 4th Convocation on 06 March 2014. On this happy occasion, l extend my heartfelt felicitation to all the graduating students, faculty members, guardians and university authorities as well.

Convocation is the recognition of the students about their success after the completion of their studies. It acknowledges the achievements of the graduates as well as provides ample opportunities to evaluate the overall activities of the University. I hope that the graduates who are passing out today would be able to face the challenges confidently and contribute significantly to the development of the society.

I am happy to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 4th Convocation on 06 March 2014. On this occasion, I congratulate the graduating students, teachers, guardians, and authorities of the university.

The government has been working relentlessly to improve the socio-economic condition of the country by putting emphasis on education and research. Private universities have become an integral part of these development initiatives to build a knowledge-based society and Digital Bangladesh.

I hope the outgoing graduates of this university imbued with the spirit of the liberation war will equip themselves intellectually and technologically to meet the challenges of the 21st  century and help build a prosperous Bangladesh as dreamt by the greatest Bengali of all times, the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur  Rahman.

I am delighted to know that the 4th Convocation Ceremony of Daffodil International University will be held on 06 March 2014.

Convocation of a university is a magnanimous and memorable occasion for the graduating students who have earned the degree by dint of their perseverance and devotion to studies. I would like to extend my heartfelt felicitations to the passing-out students, parents, teachers, and authorities of the university. 

Education is light and it should be based on modern knowledge, and the present government has been attaching the highest priority to modern and quality education and human resources development. I am very positive that Daffodil International University is trying to provide ICT-based quality education to prepare students for the 21st century.

I am pleased to know that Daffodil International University is going to hold its 4th Convocation on 06 March 2014. On this auspicious occasion, I extended my heartiest congratulations and felicitations to the graduating students, their guardians, faculty members, and the management of the university.

Quality of education at higher levels has been a concern in Bangladesh for decades. On the other hand, quality education at the tertiary level is the prime driving force for the socio-economic uplift of the nation. Apart from some renowned public universities, the endeavors of some private universities to improve the quality of higher education and produce world-class graduates are appreciable. I believe that Daffodil International University has been trying to contribute positively to the improvement of the quality of higher education in our country with a special emphasis on ICT.

It is gratifying to note that Daffodil International University (DlU) is all set to play a greater role in the educational arena of the world and the 4th Annual Convocation on 6th March 2014 attests to this fact. Since its inception, DIU has been instrumental in empowering the world in general and Bangladesh in particular through skilled manpower. One needs the vision to foresee the future even in a gloomy and hazy present.

The vision to transform society and the vision to invest in the development of Human resources need courage and the courage Mr. Sabur Khan showed in doing that made what DIU is today. Convocation is not just a ritual rather it is a stock-taking exercise conducted by any University as to how much it has given to society and in what better way it can improve upon its performances. It is not an annual affair rather it is a continuous process with an annual stopover for evaluating its own performance. l am happy to be part of this exercise for 2014, being conducted by DIU.

In the changed world order we are now considered as the most powerful, for we have immense human resource potential. All we need is to make our human resources more skilled and competitive. The future growth of the world lies in human wealth creation and to create this wealth, we need quality-driven institutions like DIU. The young graduates coming out from this world-class institution are sure to play catalysts of progress for their parts of the world.

You will be much happier to know that by now we could establish our permanent campus situated at Ashulia on a vast land in the serene, green, and open atmosphere with all world-class modern amenities. We hope your younger brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, and relatives will be even more contented with these state-of-the-art facilities.

From the small confines of the academic world, you are now entering into the horizon of pragmatic life, a practical life full of challenges and opportunities. Our motto is to instill in you the art of effective living and a passion to become future entrepreneurs and leaders so that you can contribute positively to society and the nation you belong. We are confident that Daffodil International University, with its quality education, has prepared you well to stand out by competing with others both nationally and globally. You should always remember the sacrifices that your parents and families made to bring you up to where you are now. Today with your magnificent achievement, this joyous Convocation is going to be another success story for the university. I congratulate you once again.

This is indeed a very happy occasion for us that Daffodil International University is holding its fourth convocation on 06 March 2014 at the wide-open Permanent Campus of the university at Ashulia in Dhaka. On this auspicious occasion, I congratulate the graduating students who will be awarded degrees for their glorious achievements. I am confident that knowledge acquired by the graduates will enable them to lead their lives with honor and dignity.

Starting in January 2002 the university now conducts over thirty undergraduate and postgraduate programs under five faculties. The academic activities are conducted by about 450 teachers for over 12,000 students who are assisted by a strong team of management personnel.

In line with Vision 2021 and Digital Bangladesh, most of the academic and administrative activities of the university have been digitized and the university has emerged as a prominent ICT oriented university of the country. Students are provided with on campus Internet and WiFi facilities, free laptops and campus radio for grooming them up for facing the challenges of the real life. A very rich website helps the university to earn excellent ranking by several organizations, including the Webomatrics.

I felicitate the graduates once again for successful completion of the academic programs and their parents for the glorious achievements of their wards. Further, I convey my deepest appreciation to the respected teachers and the management of the university for their sincere efforts for serving the graduates during their stay in the university.

On this festive occasion, I gratefully acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Board of Trustees of the university, especially Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Board, for his visionary leadership and continuous support for quality education and research in the university.

I am very pleased and happy to see that Daffodil International University established in 2002 is holding its fourth Convocation on March 6, 2014.

Convocation for any institution of higher learning is a solemn, sacred, and purposeful event of life. One could be worthy of this event by investing much talent, time, money, and most important of all, hard work. The university has been able, within twelve years of its journey, to establish itself as an excellent institution of higher learning and a good research atmosphere. Research is a fundamental mission (Dakar, 1997) and a major function of higher education. It is, therefore, essential that this potential be turned fully to account, not only for teaching purposes but also in order to contribute to the areas of science and technology, social and human sciences (Havana, Palermo 1996) for the advancement of knowledge, cultural development, and fulfillment and for solving the problems with which the society is facing today. Research is needed for sustainable human development and for spreading ideas of peace, democracy, and protection of the environment (Havana, Dakar, Tokyo). This is the duty, responsibility, and function of higher education and its teaching personnel in particular (UNESCO, 1998). DIU has established four research centers with the Deans of Faculties at the apex with an aim to encourage and facilitate research by the teachers and students.

On this special day, our graduate students should remember that graduation will enable them to shift their learning from the classroom to the continuous search for truth, knowledge, and values that will bring richness to their lives and careers.
